Tree in Cement

This tree is completely done with white and Gray cement. The flowers are all done with M-Seal. I took 1 week to complete this piece. While doing this piece both of my hands started bleeding due to the cement. I am not comfortable with gloves as i was not able to get the real feeling or the touch or the thickness while carving out the brances. So i removed the gloves. After completing this piece and seeing the finished output all my pain vanished. This is really difficult art because i should get the shape before the cement can get dried out. Morover this is done only with cement and there is no base steel or plastic etcs. So the branches started falling / breaking down. So i waited the base before i proceed further. After office hour till late night i used to work on this piece. This whole art costs me rs. 400/- Duration 2 week. I could have completed even earlier but in between 3 to 4 days i am not able to proceed with my injured hands.

Glass Tile in Geometrics Shape

This art is done with glass tile. I really like this piece. This is completely done with accurate measurement. At the center i have kept it open to get the wall color. This work took more than 3 weeks to plan, prepare and come out with the idea but the execution is matter of 2 hours. After this i came to know that with fevicol anything can be pasted.

Glass Tile Art

This work is done on the glass tile. In cermaic shop there is a glass tile of a big brand named :Bizzasa" available. Once i saw that material. That is very expensive. I got the material at cheap rate from the godown. I assembed those tiles and attached the bells also. In the middle the photo of the great kanchi periyawar is pasted. This is available on the room entrance. The whole piece took 3 to 4 weeks to complete. It really took so much of time for preparation and planning. The execution took only maximum 1 hour.

Flower Pot Design

The award i have received for "Star Performer -2008" is kept on the center. It is surrounded by 5 small pots. All the pots are painted with different color combination. Each pot is decorated with unique design. I have filled the pot with mud and kept lord ganesh idol on top of it. Hidden the mud with small small color tiles.

Peocock Design with Pearl

This is one of my favorite art. While peocock is decored with pearl beeds. The base is cardboard and it is covered with tazzar silk cloth. Then the base design is drawn with pencil, then pasted the white pearl beeds on the design. In order to get the edge, i pasted the real peocock feather. There are two layers. One is next to the neck and another outside.I have covered the picture with glass sheet. I also got some unique red color stones placed that for eye and nose. I took two weeks to do it.

Tanjore Paint

I borrowed the tanjore paint base design. This is available for Rs.40 at local bazaar. This is usally in the black and white sheet. I colored the paint and designed it with various stones like kempu, white pearl, lace, old ear rings, bangles. etc., If you look deep inside the picture you can see a real tree branch with two birds. Each bird on the right as well as on the left side. I also got some nice butterfuly from chennai parris corner and kept it on the bottom. The base is card board and i got good glass frame for this one. The total incurred cost is Rs.650/- inclusive of the glass frame. Total duration : 1 week

Broken Glass Bangle art

This is done completely on the broken glass bangles . This is displayed as upside down. The base is thermocol. I collected the plain glass bangles from the mylapore market. broken in into various design using the cutting player. Some glass bangles i smashed with iron rod. I divided the whole concept into three and painted the base with acrolic paint then pasted the bangles with fevicol. Due to the ignorance while doing this work i applied enamel paint initially and the areas i applied enamel paint got damaged. I did not give up the design. I continued with hiding the wholes / damged part with small small thermocol pieces and white papers then colored again. I also spent some considerable amount on getting a good glass frame for this one. This whole art tool Rs.1800 where frame alone costs me 1400/- and i took 4 days to complete this art.

Kolam

This is one of my earlier art. This is just a simple kolam on the cardboard. The bells tied up above is used for decorating cows head (:0-) In the center i kept the ganesha idol. I am having this piece at the entrance of my home.
